MFK is presenting in Sinj as part of the project 'MFK on the road - presentation of Mitopee'.
Today, the second Mediterranean Book Festival opens in Split, where visitors can enjoy until 13 May. For all those who will not be able to visit the magical world of books at Grip, the project 'MFK on the road - presentation of the Mitopex' was organized. In cooperation with the Mitopeja publishing house, MFK will visit four Dalmatian cities, Imotski, Makarska, Zadar and Sinj.
The presentation of the publishing house and a conversation with the director Vladimir Cvetkovic Sever in Sinj will organize a Cultural Art Center on Thursday, 10 May in the attic of the Sikirica Gallery, starting at 7 pm.
Mitopeja is a new Croatian publishing house dedicated to the exclusive titles of beautiful literature inspired by myth. The project was initiated by experienced Zagreb translator Vladimir Cvetković Sever as a completely new approach to publishing activity. The mitopoias each title is first published in a limited edition of five hundred individually-ordered direct sales volumes. As Sever says, "We are doing our books carefully and slowly, only with the best materials and without any compromise in the process of manufacturing and finishing. Each of our books has a FSC certificate, issued by the Forest Stewardship Council only to those books that are entirely made of paper from sustainable and responsible breeding forests. '
Until now, Mitopeya has released three titles - Neil Gaiman's Nordic Mythology (a luxury release sold out, a regular release in preparation), the buried diva Kazua Ishigas and Bears and Slaves by Katherine Arden. With his books, Mitopea sets new parameters of affordable luxury. The specialty of Mitopey is that it is committed to taking over the entire opus of its writers, and this is true for the unpublished works of Gaiman and Ishigas, just like for the rest of the trilogy of the Winter Night by Katherine Arden. Also in preparation are the classics such as the Red Orm of Franz G. Bengtsson (in translation from the original Swedish) and the capital work of King former and king since T. H. White. The Mediterranean Book Festival is a unique opportunity for a new reading experience with Mitope.
Under the slogan 'If you can not get on the MFK, MFK comes to you' Mitopey arrives in Sinj, and all bookmakers will be able to experience the delight of luxurious publishing and at affordable prices enrich their home libraries for new releases.
At the MFK itself in Split, releases of the Mitopee will be able to be purchased at the Superknjižara stand.
